Ferovinum is excited to announce our two newest team members who we’re thrilled to have join us this week!
Alex Shaw joins as our Chief Operating Officer, previously Head of Product Development & Research at the London Metal Exchange (LME), the world's largest and oldest metals exchange, part of Hong Kong Exchange Group (HKEx). His focus at LME was to oversee the development of new commercial opportunities for the Exchange - which transacted over $15.6 trillion in 2021 alone.
Previous to his time at the LME, Alex was a consultant to the Financial Services industry, with Monitor Deloitte, Korn Ferry and Accenture. Alex also received an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Cambridge University.
Alex brings extensive experience across physical commodity supply chains, financial markets, product design, new process development and risk management. He will be leading the build out of corporate operations, as Ferovinum grows its commercial offering and expands internationally.

Tristan Slater also joins, assuming the role of Portfolio and Distribution Manager.
Tristan was previously at Instrumental - a venture-backed independent music label and music distributor - where he worked on strategic projects including debt financing & risk management, new product and growth strategy.
Prior to Instrumental, Tristan worked at Blenheim Chalcot - a leading Digital Venture Builder - in the investments team to support and monitor over 20 tech-led businesses in the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio. He supported on portfolio strategy, company analysis, industry analysis as well transactional support for 10+ portfolio companies including three larger deals through secondment. He also previously swam at competitive level and is a multi World Cup finalist and a three time national champion.
Tristan will bolster our portfolio management and reporting to our institutional funding partners, investors and insurers, whilst supporting operations and business development.
